The Course
The Bacchus on the Lake is a stunning run around the trails of Lake Wyangan. With 3 courses to choose from, each starting from the picnic area on the western side of the lake, you can enjoy a morning of site viewing and socialising with a little exercise thrown in!

START at kiosk, cross start / finish line, then head towards the entrance gate, veer left into
fishing & camping area
0.8km thru gate into Sailing Club
1.3km at the clubhouse go up the bitumen entrance road
and out the main gate
Enduros and Walkers turn left Sprinters turn right
1.8km cross Boat Club entrance and continue along road verge
2.2km thru gap in fence & follow track thru bush & paddock
3.3km exit paddock onto Jones Rd, turn left and cross causeway
3.6km Water stop at memorial, enter paddock and follow graded track
4.5km Campbell Swamp on right
6.0km some time swampy area
6.5km willows and footbridge, head to mallee

About the Race
Getting Here
There are 3 events you can enter:
   1. An 8k walk;
   2. A 5km sprint;
   3. Or a 10km enduro run.

Griffith is located 2 hours by car from Wagga Wagga in the heart of the Riverina. Flights operate daily from Sydney via Rex Airlines.
 
The run starts at the Lake Wyangan, just a 10 minute drive from the Griffith CBD, with competitors meeting at the picnic area.
 
The Bacchus is held every year on Good Friday so it is the perfect opportunity to spend a long weekend taking in all that Griffith has to offer, including the famous La Festa, sampling wines from our world famous wineries and indulging in the many culinary delights found in the numerous cafe's and restaurants.

Prizes are awarded to the top 3 male & female finishers of both the 5km sprint and 10km enduro events. The top 3 junior (16 & Under) male & females in the 5km sprint also receive a prize.
The Feral Joggers
Where to Stay
Bacchus on the Lake is an official event of the Griffith Feral Joggers. The Ferals meet at the green water tower on the top of Scenic Hill in Griffith, just opposite the entry to Pioneer Park, every Saturday rain, hail or shine! Run time is 4:30pm (5:30pm during daylight savings).
