Race Rules
Entry
  • Registration is $15 per adult, $10 per junior (U16), $40 per family and $10 per walker for entries received by 4pm on 13th April 2017.
  • Entries received on event day (14th April 2017) are $25 per adult, $15 per junior (U16), $60 per family and $10 per walker.
  • Online entries close at 4:00pm on 13th April 2017.
  • Entries will be accepted on the day of the event but must be submitted prior to 8:30am. Entries received after this time may not qualify for a prize in the event of a race placing.
 
Safety
  • NO IPODS OR OTHER LISTENING DEVICES ARE TO BE WORN DURING THE RACE. You are sharing the course with other users – people, animals, push bikes and even motor vehicles, you must be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • All competitors are to wear a race bib located on the front of their shirts.
  • If you are not feeling well on race day, please do not run.
  • If you feel sick or injure yourself during the run, stop and walk to the nearest water stop or let another runner know and remain where you are on the course. Someone will come to you.
  • There is 1 road crossing on the 10km enduro course - you must give way to motor vehicles. There will be safety marshals to ensure your safety.
  • YOU MUST OBEY ANY DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE SAFETY MARSHALS
 
Drink Stations
  • There is a drink station approximately every 3 km.
  • The  drink stations will have people serving water.
  • Refreshments and fruit will be available at the finish line.
 
Course
  • Check the map for a general understanding of the course and the location of the drink stops.
  • Start / Finish line is at the picnic area of Lake Wyangan, Griffith.
  • The 5km sprint is run around the picnic area and sailing club areas of Lake Wyangan.
  • Additionally, the 8km walk and 10km enduro events will also complete a full lap of the northern lake of Lake Wyangan.
  • All courses are marked with WHITE arrows on the ground.

Presentation & Prizes
  • Presentation to start at 10:30am.
  • Prizes will be awarded as follows:
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the male 10km enduro event
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the female 10km enduro event
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the male 5km sprint event
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the female 5km sprint event
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the junior male 5km sprint event
    • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in the junior female 5km sprint event

Weather Policy
  • The Griffith Feral Joggers, in the interest of participant safety, will monitor the race day weather conditions to determine if the weather conditions will have an adverse effect on participants.
  • The Griffith Feral Joggers, through its duty of care to its participants, reserves the right to indefinitely cancel or delay the event at short notice in the interest of participant safety.
  • Entry fee is non-refundable if the race has been cancelled due to weather conditions.
Refund Policy
  • Entry fee is non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers.
